MEET THE CHEF
Phill grew up in rural central Illinois and has since lived in various locales throughout the Midwest and Southeast. He currently resides in Saint Louis with his wife, two dogs, two full time resident cats, and several foster cats. He has worked in various restaurant concepts along the way including BBQ, cafes, bistros, and brasseries to name a few.
Much of Phill's culinary inspiration stems from childhood when he would tag along with his dad. While his father worked with immigrants to help them achieve US citizenship, young Phill was awed by not only the hospitality these folks offered, but also by the variety of flavors they brought with them. Add into that his dad's fondness for baking bread, his mom's delicious lemon squares and cornbread, and countless family gatherings centered around food and you have this guy.
